After Program 2 was working, a technical problem was addressed. Documentation in papers and for Programs 1 and 2 explains that heap sharing must be taken into account for heaps at multiples of 10. One can do some computations with the data and arrive at guess of the proportion of responses in a heap at 10 or at 20 that is by 10 heapers. Default values of 50% and 80% are set in some copies of Programs 1 and 2. However, an option is to estimate these values by using different values and finding which gives the best fit to observations. One challenge is determining how best fit will be measured. Pilot software is running and documentation is being provided for “Program 3: Estimating 10-5 Sharing Proportions for 10 Heaps”.
